2017 COLLECTION APPRAISAL PHASE
The Uvalde County Appraisal District prepared and mailed out tax statements (bills) on Friday,
October 20, 2017, to property owners of Uvalde County, pursuant to section 31.01 Texas Property Tax Code (TPTC). If you have not received your tax bills, we recommend that you contact our office and verify we have the correct mailing address.
Generally, taxes are due upon receipt of the tax statement. Keep in mind, 2017 taxes that remain unpaid as of February 1, 2018 will be considered delinquent; the delinquency date will be printed on your tax statement. “Penalty and interest charges” will begin to accrue on a monthly basis, starting February 1, 2018. In addition to penalty and interest charges, “attorney fees” will be imposed if the taxes are not paid by July 1, 2018.
To apply for a tax exemption(s) property owners are encouraged to contact the Uvalde County Appraisal District at 830-278-1106 or visit our office at 209 N. High St. Uvalde, TX 78801. Our business hours are Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
THE APPRAISAL DISTRICT OFFICE WANTS TO REMIND PROPERTY OWNERS THAT OUR OFFICE DOES NOT SET THE TAX RATE.
